2015 – A Year of Transition

Many prophets and pastors have been prophesying a year of abundance for the Body of Christ. Words such as restoration of that which the enemy took in the last several years will be replaced. People who have lost finances, relationships, and homes will see restoration in 2015. The enemy took away a lot from the body of Christ, and I was one who lost a great deal. I am excited about seeing things that I lost restored.  I am excited about my complete healing and health restoration. I am already seeing a blessing in my friendships. God has blessed me richly with new friends. I remember receiving promises of debt elimination and financial prosperity. These are coming in 2015 and I am waiting in anticipation. Restoration is coming in 2015 Praise God!

However, in the mist of the blessings, there is something else coming in 2015. Transition is coming to many people in the body of Christ. So I asked the Lord, what did this transition look like since transition can be interpreted differently by each of us. The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines transition this way, “a passage from one state, stage, subject, or place to another; a movement, development, or evolution from one form, stage or style to another.”

changeA Change in Thinking

For some, it will be a change in the way they think, or see things. People will see God in a new way separate from religion and culture. This change will cause people to make different decisions about where they go to church. The body of Christ will see a shift in church attendance from the traditional to more non-traditional or non-conventional places of worship.

Resignations

There will be others who have been at their places of employment for a number of years will feel compelled to leave prior to retirement. Although this move will seem untimely and illogical, it is the Lord pressing the move. There is major change coming to our country and the Lord will always make provision for His people even during hard times. But we have to be attentive and harken to what He is saying to us. Leaving a company allows for a person to receive their retirement savings and pensions. For those He is telling to leave their place of employment, He will also give instructions as to where to put the money so that it will be safe from the economic crisis coming to the United States. It may be currency conversion or coins or purchasing a home with cash. You will need to fight the urge to do as everyone else is doing and do as the Lord commands.

Proverbs 27: 23-27

Be diligent to know the state of your flocks,
And attend to your herds;
24 For riches are not forever,
Nor does a crown endure to all generations.
25 When the hay is removed, and the tender grass shows itself,
And the herbs of the mountains are gathered in,
26 The lambs will provide your clothing,
And the goats the price of a field;
27 You shall have enough goats’ milk for your food,
For the food of your household,
And the nourishment of your maidservants.

Although this scripture is speaking about flocks and grass, it is relevant today because we need to be aware of the state of our finances. Riches even today are not forever and prosperity does not last forever. There is another reason why the Lord will bless us abundantly in 2015. We are not to consume all of our financial blessings. Rather, there is a strategy for what we are supposed to do with the blessings so that we will continue to have more than enough in the years to come. The Lord will show us how to take care of ourselves and even others if we are in tuned to the timing of things and we are not afraid to act.

Relocation

Some will relocate to other parts of the country or even relocate abroad. When He tells us to go some place different, there will be a safety-net for us there. For some, relocation will be for ministry, for others it will be for training, and then for others it will be for safety away from natural disasters or calamity. If He is saying to relocate, He will also have a strategy and timing for when it will take place.

There will be other kinds of transitions. Some may be painful like divorce, separation or even family death. Not that the Lord causes these things to happen, but He will use them to propel us into the fulfilling of our calling. The key to all of this is to learn to listen and to obey the Lord. We may not see what’s in our future but He knows and He will tell us how to navigate so that we are in the right places, not only with regard to where we live but also that we stay in His perfect will for our lives.

I felt that the Lord wanted me to bring balance to all of the ‘feel good’ prophetic messages that are coming out. The Lord loves us very much and He wants us to know the truth and prepare. We were never meant to live with our heads buried in the sand. Be expectant and watchful in 2015. There will be many changes, some will seem sudden, while other changes will be small and on the surface may not mean much. But the changes that are coming are significant and they will mean something to all of us. Let us transition according to His perfect will for our lives in the mist of the changes that are coming and as we do, we will remain at rest abiding in the Shadow of the Almighty. (Psalm 91)
